The whole earthward face of the moon will be bathed in light two times this August; we call this relatively rare double full moon in the span of a month, a blue moon. You are invited to join CYT, Marya Bradley, for a yoga intensive dedicated to exploring on an experiential level the yogic equivalent of opening oneself—even as the full moon appears to us to do-- to a radiant fullness, like that of the sun’s, without bound. To attain to this deep saturation of one’s being in what may be called the infinite is the ultimate aim of classical yoga: Ananta Samapattibhyam or absorption in the infinite.

Drawing on the deep shamanic roots of both the Kundalini and the Classical yoga traditions, Marya will guide and accompany participants in a practice that has the potential to open and activate energetic pathways within each of us that lead us into contact with the deepest aspect of our nature. The practice is intensive and potent and leads to deep relaxation and meditation. It will involve work with breath (pranayama), a sequence of sustained postures (asana), movements to effect shifts of subtle energy (kriyas), mental concentration (dharana), deep yogic relaxation/sleep (yoga nidra) and meditation (dhyana). As the invitation, both celestial and yogic is to a deep communion, the intensive will close with time to gather and share.

All are welcome, though some prior exposure to yoga is highly recommended.  Participants may want to bring a notebook and pen and may bring some sort of refreshment to share at the end of the practice
